CrossFit 101 (Prep Course)Fundamental sessions are required and essential to your success. In this four session (or four hours) fundamentals course you will be guided through the nine fundamental movements of CrossFit: The Squat, Front Squat, Overhead Squat, Press, Push Press, Push Jerk, Deadlift, Sumo Deadlift High Pull and the Medicine Ball Clean. These fundamental movements translate to various barbell movements (i.e Back Squat, Clean, etc.), these sessions will also cover various gymnastic movements (Pull up, ring dips, etc.), as well as how to use the row machine efficiently.
The goal of these fundamental sessions is safety and efficiency along with making novices comfortable with CrossFit methodology. These fundamental classes will provide you with the foundation to successfully transition into a group class setting. Upon completion, your workouts will be scaled according to your skill/fitness level. Fundamental sessions give you an idea of where you're at, and it gives us an idea of where you are at along with providing a map of where you want to go. |
